nothing beats technology. got in today at nine plus, checked both my inboxes. for some reason i actually open the e-newsletter from epitaph. for the first time. usually i trash them. two things i don't like to find in my mail box: stoopid meaningless chain mail and newsletters. got no patience for them. SO! i open the epitaph thing and skimmed thru the contents. almost gonna hit the delete button when i spotted an article nearing the bottom of that newsletter. of coz i read it. it's this guy who's advocating cultural nihilism and how punk rock is now going mainstream so everything is made "safe" and there's only a few doing the "challenging authority" bit for real these days. quite interesting stuff, though the subject on where our pop culture is going seems a bit tiresome to me. sure, i get anal about being mediocre some times but ultimately you should leave things be lar, let it run its own course, see how it all equates to, you know. so we got all these punk rock bands going all pop and stuff. let them be let them be as long as they make great music. if you wanna be a sellout, be my guess, you're your own whore, dude.
