Like I Need To Prove Something

so one morning, i went for an interview. i had to fill up one of them forms (deterring, deterring, deterring!!!) and there was this question: name 10 of your favourite artist/groups. and i wrote them down. beastie boys, rage, smashing pumpkins, jackson 5, pizzicato 5, strokes, replacements, gomez, neptunes and i can't remember the last one. the interviewer took one glance at it and went ,"hmmm, you listen to mostly indie." he said it like it was a bad thing. and he was old, like late 30s/early 40s. probably was a big The Quest fan, has the qualifications for a better job but for some unfortunate reason got bogged down with HR. so i says to him, "but you know i listen to other genres, too. those are just my favourites." and i wanted to add: plus they are not mostly indie. what's so indie about the beastie boys, rage, smashing pumpkins, jackson 5 and the neptunes? feh!!!
