I Never Ever Stop Wondering
right. Of Montreal. i can't remember exactly how i got to know about them but i'm sure Dada had something to do with it. they cool. imagine Architecture in Helsinki, Of Montreal and Flaming Lips on a scale. Of Montreal will clock in somewhere in the midrange with AIH somewhere near the bottom and Flaming Lips at the top. what rocks is reading Freddy and Fredricka by Mark Helprin to Of Montreal and the Flaming Lips. the story's already spastic. combined with these two... wah can get surreally spastic, man. i'm thinking of Arthur Rimbaud; well and alive, a vegetarian and a walking-talking pitchforkmedia.com. c'mon, didn't you think he was a bloody elitist? no? oh well, in this modern setting, i imagine him kicking and screaming about the state of the world, listening to Dylan and Cash, being a right nancy boy and writing his stuff. would i still like his poetry? probably not. he would have to be long gone and dead [which he is]. Arthur Rimbaud is one of the few poets i can stand because i don't dig poetry. never did. lyrics are about the only form of poetry i do read. Seasons In Hell is excellent, by the way. well i like The W.A.N.D and i like Colin Firth but Nanny McPhee was a let-down. Null recommends watching Kingdom of Heaven instead. maybe. let's see how pussified Orlando Bloom is in that one. i swear to gawd that kid from Nanny McPhee [Simon is it?] is going to go the same way as Bloom -a pussified bloke. so y'all look out for the new yeahyeahyeahs, the new flaming lips, the new placebo and for craig nicholls/the vines fans, i've been told by teh that they're working on their new album. and everyone's talking about the new belle & seb so yeah go out and get that, too. i'm just going to put my money on a diet. my money needs to go on a diet.
