Well, well, well... my ang moh cousin who is 20 years of age is talking about getting married to her Mexican squeeze. I missed a friend's wedding last weekend to go horse riding. And most of the blogs I've been frequenting is talking about The One. Oh, yes, you know where this is going.

Lemme just say that the topic gives me the heebee jeebies. Guess who's not going to be a hot young mom. Recently, I watched an old episode of Friends by accident. The one when Monica and Chandler were going to get married and Chandler refused to give his bride-to-be her dream wedding because he didn't think it was practical to blow all the money he had saved on just one bloody day. Monica's enthusiasm on planning for her wedding amazes me. She actually made a scrapbook of wedding themes since grade school. If you were the groom-to-be, how not to be overwhelmed?

Work, work, work -that's all there is to it (The One, the wedding, the marriage, the courting, etc.). Love is the motivation, maybe the incentive, maybe both. For myself, I can't say for sure to The One, the marrying, much less the wedding. I'm just content on being Judas. More exciting. I'm ignoring a friend's belief in "there's a sell by date to dating, you know". No rush, no fuss, dudes.

And did DeVotchka decided to go spiffy? They don't sound as raw as I remember them to be on the current album. I totally dig The Clockwise Witness, though.
