saturday was horrid but it was not without its saving grace. American Hardcore is the only thing i caught out of all movies the Singapore International Film Fest had to offer. and i only like the H.R and Bad Brains parts because i'm just biased like that. i read a book once by Micheal Azerrad which was similar to the film with all the 'usual suspects' in it (blackflag, minutemen, minor threat, etc.). Rai would've dig it. It was his cup of tea -hardcore. and contrary to what people may say about Beastie Boys and their dabbling with hardcore, i still think Aglio E Olio was a decent EP. i could be biased again haha.

and i would like to thank the cabbie who was able to ferry me from lido to my house and back to lido in 15min flat on a Saturday night. how does he do it? we were fortunate enough not to run into any red lights and he was a cabbie who knew the back roads. so there you go.
