So Paul Banks is doing Julian Plenti. Solo jaunt. "You look like you lost some weight. Good on you!" Just like how Fab Strokes became a busybody in the Americas and came up with Little Joy. I have personal issues with that. Anyway, I spent Saturday sound checking the bands who are part of the FRF '09 line up, particularly the Japanese ones. Reggae, power punk and noise. Sounds good. And I realize they are bringing in more European acts. Great, I'm a bit fed up with what's been coming out from the UK lately anyway. No disco from the French, please. They should bring in the Indonesians to shake things up a bit.
