I did not have anything pressing to do today so I skulk around online and made a few discoveries I would like to record in here.

First, over-grain optimal death (OGOD). The original plan was to hang around the place and score some merch because between the boyfriend and I, he's the Acid Mothers Temple fan. But today, I decided to check OGOD out and well I'm going to pay 13 bucks so I can go in. The bloke on guitar reminds me of Marc Bolan so enough said. Now, I only have to convince an aspiring B-girl to come with me so I don't have to make the trip down to the area in the dead of night by myself.

Second, Patti Smith's children. I wonder how it's like to be born with rock pedigree. Let's not talk about the Tylers and Jaggers of this world lar. They were more born to fame whoring. I'm talking more like the James Taylor and Carly Simon variety. Courtney Love and Kurt Cobain don't count cos Love's more known for her drug addiction rather than her music prowess. Man, I remember thinking to myself when Patti Smith took the stage at Fuji Rock that I was in the presence of greatness. Quite humbling when you think of all her peers she's outlived, all those first generation of NY punk. Just awesome. And yes, she was married to the MC5's guitarist and they had kids, one of whom got hitched to Meg White. That's just weird considering he's eight years her junior.
